Professor Christos Chouaid is currently Head of the Department of Pneumology and Thoracic Oncology at the Intermunicipal Hospital Centre of Créteil (CHI Créteil [Centre Hospitalier Intercommunal de Créteil]), University Paris-East Créteil (UPEC) and Clinical Research Groups OncoTho at CHI Créteil (GRC [les Groupements de Recherche Clinique]), Créteil, France. He is a specialist in basic and clinical lung cancer management, and is also an authority on health economics and outcomes research. He has been an investigator in numerous clinical trials, mostly for lung cancer, and has researched numerous new drugs. He manages the French Group of Thoracic Oncology (GFPC [Groupe Français d’Oncologie Thoracique]), a large network of French hospitals involved in clinical lung cancer research.
Professor Chouaid is board-certified in pneumology, public health and thoracic oncology and his clinical interests include lung cancer, and health economics and outcomes. He has published more than 200 PubMed-indexed articles in various scientific journals, including the Journal of Clinical Oncology, British Journal of Cancer, European Respiratory Journal, Journal of Thoracic Oncology and Lung Cancer. He is also a regular reviewer for several scientific journals covering thoracic oncology, respiration, and health economics and outcomes. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC).
